She is pleased to announce the formation of Jim Marshall Photography LLC. The primary goal of the new company is to preserve and protect Jim's extraordinary legacy as a discerning photojournalist and a pioneer of rock and roll photography, through sales and licensing of his work and by presenting his work to international audiences in a variety of appropriate forms, including publications, exhibitions, and the development of a comprehensive catalogue as a reference for the totality of his life's work.

THREE GALLERY EXHIBITIONS IN MARCH 2011 CELEBRATE JIM MARSHALL & POCKET CASH

Announcing Rock for MS

Rock for MS is the major fundraising event for MSFriends, conceived under the leadership of VisionWorks Foundation president, Amelia Davis, and inspired by Jim Marshall, one of the world’s most renowned music photographers and winner in 2004 of a Lifetime Achievement Lucie Award. More than ten years ago, Jim Marshall hired Amelia as his assistant knowing she had MS, and since then Jim has become a passionate advocate for the needs of people living with MS. With the success of MSFriends, other well-known rock photographers, celebrities, and famous musicians are now pitching in to donate their work, talent, and time for Rock for MS.

Rock for MS has established a high profile presence in three of the most important music and photography centers in the US: San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.

In 2008, MSFriends partnered with Authentic Hendrix and the Jimi Hendrix estate to announce the Limited Edition Hendrix Guitar Pick Necklace. This collectible fashion piece includes the official, authorized signature of Jimi Hendrix. The Hendrix necklace is available at the MSFriends online store. The Rock for MS Guitar Pick necklace shows your commitment to helping make a change and lets those with MS know they are not alone.

Despite strides in awareness, the reality is that many people with MS continue to suffer in fear, silence and isolation. Recognizing this, MSFriends established the first 24/7-telephone MS education helpline in 2005. It is staffed entirely by people who have MS and offers the unique capability of providing educational peer support and shared experiences. The helpline becomes a lifeline to those with MS. It offers immediate and timely connections, MS education and support, often when people need it most.
